Poison Prevention Week
March 15 – 21, 2009
The California Society of Health-System Pharmacists – Sacramento Chapter and the Sacramento Division of the California Poison Control System presented a public service program on "Poison Prevention" to 380 third graders of 7 schools in the Sacramento and surrounding areas.
Do you get e-mail from SVSHP ?
 E-mail is the primary method that SVSHP uses to communicate with members. Board meetings, CE programs and other events are publicized by e-mail. SVSHP gets e-mail addresses from the member roster at CSHP. Every time that we send out a message to the members, we get a dozen or so rejected messages from bad e-mail addresses. If you aren't getting e-mail messages from SVSHP then you probably need to update your profile at CSHP to include your current address. To update your profile, log in to the members page at the CSHP web site. Once you have signed in, click on My Profile and update your contact information. If you have already done that are are still not getting messages from SVSHP, send your name and e-mail address to  .

Educational Program
A program entitled Cancer and Chemotherapy-Induced Anemia: Pathophysiology, Diagnosis, and Optimal Strategies with Intravenous Iron Therapy will be presented July 22 at Mercy San Juan Medical Center, Conference Room 2, 3 & 4 (First level, Inside Cafeteria), 6501 Coyle Ave, Carmichael. This educational program does not provide CE credit. This event is free for members of SVSHP, SVPhA and student chapters of CSHP! Space is limited to 35 people so register now!
Membership Appreciation Night
Our annual Membership Appreciation Night will be held on August 27 and the Embassy Suites, 100 Capitol Mall. Join you professional colleagues for an evening of networking, exhibitor displays, raffle prizes and fine dining! This is always a popular event so register now!
SVPhA Family Appreciation Night
We have been invited to join the SVPhA at their annual Family Appreciation Night Saturday, July 18 at Raley Field.
The River Cats will be playing the Reno Aces, followed by a night-time fireworks spectacular.
